Our Story

Welcome to Taste Of The Windy City, where the love for food and the Windy City come together to create a culinary experience like no other. Established in 2019 by our passionate owner, Hatem Ayari, Taste Of The Windy City has become a beloved fixture in the Appleton, WI, dining scene.

Our story begins with Hatem's deep-rooted love for food and his belief in its power to bring people together. After years of working in the restaurant industry and traveling as a corporate trainer, Hatem developed a special fondness for the cuisine of Chicago during his visits to the city. In 2010, the opportunity arose for Hatem to fulfill his dream of opening his own restaurant. It was only natural that he decided to bring a Taste of The Windy City to the hungry customers in the Fox Valley.

Initially, we operated in Little Chute for nine years, serving up authentic Chicago classics such as Chicago-style hot dogs, gyros, sandwiches, burgers, subs, wraps, salads, Reubens, patty melts, Philly cheesesteaks, and more. In 2019, we expanded our presence by opening a second location right here in Appleton, WI.

At Taste Of The Windy City, we stay true to our roots. Located at 3402 N Richmond St in Appleton, WI, as well as 1800 Freedom Rd in Little Chute, WI, we are conveniently situated in the heart of the Fox Valley.
